Three Cited at Redlands DUI Checkpoint
Three people were cited during a DUI checkpoint on Friday, May 1.
A total of 237 vehicles were screened during the DUI checkpoint at Cajon Street and Cypress Avenue between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday.
Two drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license.
One driver was cited for violation of the vehicle code.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes.
The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads. Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
