Police are investigating an altercation outside a downtown bar that resulted in a hit-and-run collision and shots fired early Sunday morning, Feb. 22.

Witnesses reported the altercation between several people in front of the Underground bar at 19 E. Citrus Ave. shortly before 1:30 a.m. Following the altercation, one of the involved parties got into a 2022 Tesla and drove away west on Citrus Avenue.

A few minutes later, the vehicle sped back east on Citrus Avenue, striking four people who were standing in the street in front of the bar.

The impact caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and collide with the curb. At the same time, an unknown suspect fired several shots, striking the window of one business and the door of another. No shooting victims were reported.

Four victims of the hit-and-run were transported to the hospital with major injuries.

The vehicle fled west on Citrus Avenue, leaving a trail of leaked fluids.

Anyone with information on this incident or the suspect is asked to contact Detective Thomas Williams at (909) 557-6814 or by email at twilliams@redlandspolice.org.
