Pedestrian Killed by Towed Utility Trailer on Orange Street
REDLANDS — A 38-year-old woman was killed Thursday night after being struck by a utility trailer towed by a small pickup truck on Orange Street, north of Pioneer Avenue.
The collision occurred at approximately 10 p.m. as both the pedestrian and the vehicle were traveling south on Orange Street, according to authorities.
The driver, a 56-year-old man, told investigators he did not see the woman but pulled over on Pioneer Avenue after feeling an impact. Upon inspecting his vehicle, the driver discovered blood on the trailer and immediately called 911.
Redlands Fire Department paramedics found the woman unresponsive and declared her deceased at the scene.
Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment and is cooperating with authorities. The collision remains under investigation by the Redlands Police Department Traffic Unit.
