Death On Train Tracks Investigated As Possible Suicide
Redlands Police Department is investigating the death of an unidentified man as a probable suicide after he was struck by a train on the Metrolink tracks west of Texas Street late Sunday.
Police and Redlands firefighter paramedics responded to the tracks shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, July 26.
The conductor of the Arrow passenger train reported the unidentified victim jumped in front of the train as it was traveling east away from the Esri stop west of Texas Street.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries to the passengers or train crew were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
