Beat the Heat: City Opens Free Cooling Centers with Hydration, Activities Across Redlands

REDLANDS, Calif. — As summer temperatures climb across the Inland Empire, the City of Redlands is opening three local cooling centers to help residents stay safe, comfortable, and connected during peak heat.

The designated facilities offer air-conditioned relief, hydration refill stations, and complimentary bottled water donated by Stater Bros. Markets. Beyond a place to cool down, the sites will host a full slate of summer programming—including ice cream socials, karaoke, fitness classes, games, arts and crafts, and educational workshops.

Joslyn Senior Center: 21 Grant St., Tue – Fri: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Flores Senior Center: 111 W. Lugonia Ave. Mon – Fri: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Joe R. Gonzales Community Center: 111 W. Lugonia Ave., Mon – Fri: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
