Junior midfielder Ruby Czajkowski has been one of the Bulldogs' most versatile weapons on the offensive end.

The University of Redlands Women’s Lacrosse team saw its high-scoring momentum hit a wall Saturday, falling 25-3 in a home matchup against conference rival Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).

The lopsided result comes as a surprise following a week of absolute dominance for the Bulldogs (7-3, 4-2 SCIAC), who had outscored their previous two opponents by a staggering 35-5 margin.

The Bulldogs’ scoring spree began on March 21 in Thousand Oaks, where they dismantled California Lutheran University 20-2. In that contest, Redlands opened the game with 17 unanswered goals, driven by standout performances from senior Cailin Walker (3G, 3A), junior Ruby Czajkowski (2G, 4A), and senior Mallory Morrissey (4G). The Bulldogs dominated nearly every statistical category, outshooting the Regals 30-9.

Returning home to Farquhar Field on March 23, the Maroon and Grey continued their streak with a 15-3 victory over Willamette University. The Bulldogs established an early 10-2 halftime lead, anchored by four-point nights from both senior Emily Webster and Czajkowski. Defensively, freshman Lizzy Weaver proved to be a force, causing four turnovers and scooping three ground balls, while the goalkeeper duo of sophomore Courtney Myers and freshman Malia Tauanuu combined for a solid defensive stand.

Despite the weekend setback against the Athenas, Redlands maintains a strong conference standing. The team will look to leverage its deep roster—which saw contributions from over a dozen different scorers throughout the week—as they prepare for the final push toward the SCIAC tournament.
