Residents can register to opt out of the city’s emergency notification system
This week residents began receiving email notifications from Rave Mobile Safety, the city’s contractor for emergency notifications, providing the opportunity to opt out of the city’s Emergency Notification System.
The emails were sent from cityofredlands@email.getrave.com. For residents who wish to remain signed up for the city’s emergency notification system to receive timely alerts in the event of an emergency, no further action is necessary.
Residents who wish to opt out of the emergency notification system or change their contact information may respond to the email or visit https://www.smart911.com/smart911/ref/reg.action?pa=cityofredlands.
The alert system is powered by RAVE Mobile Safety, an emergency communication platform used by communities across the country, that plays a vital role in helping public safety officials quickly distribute critical information during emergencies such as wildfires, floods, hazardous materials incidents, evacuations, or any other public safety threat.
Once registered, participants can choose how to receive alerts, through voice calls, text messages, and/or emails, and can add multiple contact methods to stay informed whether at home, work, or on the go.
