No Injuries Reported in Residential Structure Fire

Redlands Fire Department to a structure fire in the 1300 block of Arlene Street Monday evening, Aug. 10.

Fire crews arrived shortly after 8 p.m. to find a backyard shed heavily engulfed in fire at the rear of a single-story residence, along with downed and arcing power lines.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and prevented it from extending into the main residence or nearby structures, within approximately six minutes of arrival.

Additional crews searched the residence and checked for fire extension. All occupants safely evacuated the home, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters remained on scene for approximately two hours conducting overhaul operations. Damage is estimated at $25,000. The cause remains under investigation.
