REDLANDS — Redlands police detectives, with assistance from the department’s SWAT team, arrested a 34-year-old Cherry Valley man Thursday morning in connection with the sexual assault of a child.
Jack Henry Doshay was taken into custody at approximately 9 a.m. after officers served a warrant at a home in the 40300 block of Dutton Street in Cherry Valley.
The arrest follows an investigation into an Oct. 25 incident in which Doshay allegedly sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl—the daughter of an acquaintance — in the parking lot of a business on Center Street in Redlands.
Doshay, a registered sex offender, was booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. He is being held without bail on suspicion of committing lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 and communicating with a minor with intent to commit a felony.
