Three days subsequent to the 142nd anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s most renowned speech, members of the community convened on Saturday, November 22, outside the Lincoln Memorial Shrine in Redlands to listen to his words recited aloud by Lincoln presenter Robert Broski.

The shrine’s annual re-enactment of the Gettysburg Address, delivered by Lincoln at a cemetery dedication in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on November 19, 1863, during the apex of the Civil War, emphasizes the enduring message of liberty, equality, and unity conveyed by the 16th President.
