The Redlands Japanese Cultural Center will host the Sakura Festival at Escape Brewery, 440 Oriental Ave. in Redlands, on Saturday, April 18.

Come listen to the visceral percussion of taiko drums, and participate in a taiko workshop; observe the energetic odori traditional dances.

There will be karate and jujitsu demonstrations; check out the choreography of kendo sword demonstrations.

Try your hand at origami and ikebana floral arrangements, or calligraphy in the art of Japanese shodo.
